Creative MediaWorks' "Green" Initiative is Growing

Pennington, NJ, July 23, 2009 — Creative MediaWorks is pleased to announce that their on-going initiative of recycling and reducing as much excess waste as possible has led them to paperless billing for their clients. In a continual effort to cut down on paper and contribute to a cleaner environment, their clients can now receive invoices as a PDF file via email in lieu of regular postal mail.

Moving to paperless billing is not the only green thing sprouting up around the CMW office. A company-wide effort recycles all bottles, cans, and waste paper on a daily basis via the township’s public works department. Additionally, all the ink and toner cartridges from the dozen or so printers are also recycled and/or sent back to their supplier to be reused. The Canon iR 5185 which produces all of their color printing runs utilize paper from International Paper Company—a company with a very strong legacy of sustainability and environmental stewardship

Creative MediaWorks’ attention to energy efficiency is also underway. All light bulbs are compact fluorescent, and their computer monitors have been swapped out for flat screen/LCD monitors which consume only a fraction of the CRT’s energy needs. The company also employs programmable thermostats for their heating and cooling units, keeping the system on a very energy-efficient setting during non-working hours. And, in their kitchen, a growing collection of ceramic coffee mugs is slowly overtaking the paper cups on the shelf as many employees here drink coffee and tea and don’t want to use disposable cups.

The office itself is located in a small, quaint town flanked by farms, pasture and rolling hills. A strong desire to keep it looking green for years to come is reason enough to keep our green initiative "growing" strong.
